Nov 6th Meeting

Seattle Professional Photographers Association presents guest speaker Marv Heston:

“Silk Purse or Sow’s Ear?”

Program starts at 7:00pm. Tuesday, November 6 (come after you vote)
The Polish Home, 1714 18th Avenue  Seattle, WA 98122
*Print competition check-in ends at 6:45pm. (SPPA Members only)

Can you tell the difference between an Award winning image and one that shouldn’t be taking up space on your hard disk?

Come to the November meeting and learn how to find and make your own Silk Purses.  Marv will share the things that have helped make him become the three time Prestige Photographer of the Year at SPPA and recipient of numerous state, district, and national awards including 1 Fuji Masterpiece and 3 Kodak Gallery Awards in the last three years.  Marv will also discuss how he turns winning images into money… that’s right, MO’ Money… it’s not about winning print competition.

If you are passionate about photography, your images, or MO’ money you are sure to get a nugget or two to take home from this meeting.  If you are not passionate about one of these things, please stay home, as you will just be using up valuable Oxygen.

Marv Heston is our 2012 Prestige Award winner. You can view his work here.

Elections will also be held to determine who will be on the board starting in January 2013. This is your chance to vote and have a voice in the board membership that will be representing you during the next year. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor.
The election committee has received the following nominations for the open positions:
President – Ken Lapp
Secretary – Gerlinde Gilmore
Communications/Marketing – John Perea
Special Projects – Elena Scott

We are looking forward to seeing all SPPA members in November!

Thank you,
The SPPA Board
